By far the most aggravating answer to that question is: “Sorry, that isn’t what we do.”

To someone who doesn’t work in the technical world it just seems logical that if you purchase a new website, you should be able to process donations. Or, if you hire someone to help with data entry after an event, that information should seamlessly be able to make it’s way into your database.

Unfortunately, in many instances that isn’t the case. Time and again charity staff find  themselves surprised, frustrated and over-budget on seemingly simple solutions to technological challenges.

The best-case scenario when launching new processes, supported by new technology is when vendors agree to work together. When this happens, integration is seamless and donor services are vastly improved. Everyone saves time and money

The very good news is that this month CDS Global and Blackbaud announced a new partnership that could change the technology landscape for thousands of charities and millions of donors.

In their press release dated June 1, 2015, the two companies announced that CDS Global has joined the Blackbaud Partner Network as a Blackbaud Technology Partner.

Very simply, this means is that the donations processing functions that CDS Global provides can now be seamlessly integrated to the database solutions that Blackbaud provides. For the donor this means they will receive better service from the charity and will be more likely to maintain their support.

“The solutions that CDS Global brings to the table will be valuable to customers looking to understand and engage their supporters across multiple channels,” said Chris Clinton, vice president, global channels and partner ecosystem at Blackbaud. “Their services will allow our customers to merge their online data with supporter information from offline channels for a complete 360-degree view of constituents.”

The partnership allows CDS Global to leverage Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge, Blackbaud CRM and Luminate CRM, among other products, to enable more nonprofits to create seamless interactions with their supporters by giving them more control over the back-end processes that drive the donor experience. CDS Global’s services automate many of the tedious, time-consuming and manual tasks that can slow down an organization’s operations, allowing nonprofit clients to devote more time and resources to their programs and missions.

We have served clients like The American Red CrossThe Salvation Army and Operation Smile Canada for many years, providing comprehensive donations processing, direct mail and care solutions while capturing and integrating offline data back into their Blackbaud donor databases,” said Debra Janssen, president and CEO of CDS Global. “We are thrilled to be formalizing our partnership with Blackbaud, making it even easier for nonprofits we jointly serve to track and manage donors throughout their life cycles.”

If you would like more information about this partnership and what it might mean for your organization please contact Will Aeschliman at CDS Global at 1-515-247-7614.
