In the Report on the Charities Program, fiscal year 2020 to 2021, the Canada Revenue Agency’s (CRA) Charities Directorate highlights its efforts to achieve its mandate by adapting and providing services to the charitable sector and the public during the COVID-19 pandemic.

- The directorate supported two major federal government financial assistance programs aimed at helping Canadian employers, including charities, facing hardship as a result of COVID-19: the Canada Emergency Wage Subsidy (CEWS) and the Canada Emergency Rent Subsidy (CERS).
