Canadian cause marketing campaigns recognized

This year, for the first time, the Cause Marketing Forum accepted Canadian nominations for the ninth annual Cause Marketing Halo Awards. At the June conference in Chicago, 4 out of 20 individual awards were presented to Canadian companies: Aviva Canada, RBC's Blue Water Project and TELUS.

“Cause marketing, the creation of programs that pay financial and social dividends, has grown tremendously over the past ten years,” commented Cause Marketing Forum President David Hessekiel. “In fact, cause was the fastest growing area of sponsorship in 2010 and is predicted to hit $1.7 million in 2011.”

The RBC Blue Water Project received two awards, Best Video Creative and Best Environmental or Animal Campaign. Aviva Canada won for Best Digital Marketing Campaign and TELUS for Best Transactional Campaign.
