A new section was added to the Charities and Giving Web pages for organizations that are recognized as qualified donees.  These organizations can issue donation receipts and receive gifts from registered charities.

Qualified donees include:

• Municipalities
• Municipal and public bodies performing a function of government in Canada
• Prescribed universities outside Canada
• Charitable organizations outside Canada that have received a gift from Her Majesty in right of Canada
• Low-cost housing corporations for the aged
